Wille, warehouse worker and assembler: “the mounting is interesting, both in terms of construction and products”

From initially working through staffing, to being employed at WFI, and later expand his role within more areas. William (Wille) Sperring started his journey at the company in 2017 and has since then, gone from only working with warehouse to working more and more with mounting. A development he describes as exciting and fun – especially as both the construction process and products as such interest him. Nowadays, Wille works both as a warehouse worker and assembler, with focus on packing to cooperation partners and mounting to customer projects.

”The colleagues really become like your buddies”
Wille thus began his journey at WFI around six years ago, firstly through staffing and one year later as an employee. Before that, he attended the business program at the high school in Gnosjö and worked for a short time at another company after graduating in 2017.

– I have enjoyed working here since day one! We have so much fun in the warehouse and with everyone who works at the office. The colleagues really become like your buddies, we have the same sense of humour and know each other very well, which means that it never gets boring at work. In addition to that, my tasks and days are very varied, it is not just packing orders, a lot of other things happens as well, Wille begins.

Packing, picking, and mounting
During a regular working day, Wille does everything from packing orders, to gathering parts that need to be sent to cooperation partners, and building workbenches to customer projects. The days always start with him checking what needs to be packed to the customers he is responsible for, then what needs to be sent to partners for external assembling or lacquering.

– If we have mounting for customer projects to do, it always goes in first hand. But that is also what I find the most fun. I have always been interested in construction and think that the products we work with are exciting. Pontus (warehouse manager at WFI) has taught me the assembling from the beginning, and then you understand more and more over time. This week, for example, we had 60 workbenches to put together, Wille continues.

– I appreciate the variety and it is quite nice that no two weeks are the exact same. But you always have something to do, and you are never unoccupied. Sometimes I also assemble directly at the customer’s location, or mount up and down different workstations in connection to fairs, both in and outside of Sweden. It always feels a little extra good to see everything when it is done at the right place!, Wille concludes.

Your best memory from WFI so far?
–   The trip to Amsterdam that we did now during spring, it was the most fun ever. Everyone was in their best moods and it was so fun just to hang out for a whole weekend!

How would you describe WFI as an employer?
–   Familiar and down to earth!

How would you describe the working environment at WFI?
–   We are a good group where everyone knows everyone. As we do a lot of things together, we have also become very tight and work for each other, which I feel like contributes to us reaching our goals.
