Johan, CEO: “The ambition is for our range to become even more competent and create greater opportunities for customized solutions”

Last year marked 20 years since WFI was founded in Gnosjö. Two decades since the first symbolic groundbreaking laid the foundation for the future. An anniversary that has been celebrated with all employees last year – and now results in both reflections and new visions. As we step into 2025, we take a moment to look back on our journey so far while setting our sights on the future together with our CEO, Johan Svensson.

Looking back over the last 20 years, how has WFI developed and shaped into what it is today?

–   Naturally, a lot has happened and changed over the past 20 years, but overall, it can be summarized in two key areas: how we sell our product and what our offer looks like. When we started WFI, our focus was primarily on selling a single product, whereas today, our offering is significantly more comprehensive. We now provide everything from customized solutions and a complete approach to workplaces, to projects within specialized niche industries. A journey that we have been able to make both as our range has become more competent, and by advancing together with our resellers.

Johan further clarifies how the collaboration with resellers has played a significant role.

–   The relationship with our resellers has been a success factor, as the development of our products has placed higher demands on our involvement – every step of the way from drawing and prototype to construction and final product. I am pleased that we have remained committed to working in this manner and have been able to expand our collaboration around the business. Other things that stand out when I reflect on our journey so far are our improvements regarding digitalization, with both our website and configurator The Yelper, and that our business has become more international.

What is your vision for the future of WFI? Any specific ideas you would like to highlight?

–   The vision for WFI is that we want to continue to grow with what we do. In concrete terms, the ambition is for our range to become even more competent and create greater opportunities for customization and configurations of tailored solutions. At the same time, we want to continue to nurture and deepen the collaboration we have with our resellers, aiming to become their best partner in terms of service. In this way, we hope to be able to do more and mutually beneficial business in the future, Johan concludes.
