Filippa, Financial Manager: "It will be exciting to take on this new challenge at a company like WFI"

About two months ago, on March 25, team WFI welcomed a new addition to the team, Filippa Ingelsten. Filippa comes most recently from the auditing industry where she has worked for the past eight years and is now moving from the accounting side to the role as financial manager. A new step in her career that she describes as both challenging and exciting.

–   When this opportunity came up, it was too tempting to say no. In retrospect, it feels like it was meant to be as I was at a point where I felt ready for a change. It wasn't a given for me to take on a manager role, but in the end, it definitely turned out to be the right decision. I already feel that I have grown just by saying yes and it will be interesting to continue tackling this challenge!, Filippa begins.

After graduation and one year as an au pair in San Francisco, Filippa chose to study tourism and economics at the university in Kalmar, as numbers and logical thinking always have been her close at hand. Her education was followed by one year at Scandic Elmia and eight years at Revisorsgruppen. In recent years, she has primarily worked with ongoing accounting and annual accounts, but also taken on many internal responsibilities and developed as well as taking lead on different projects.

–   The years on the accounting side have been both developing and educational, I have learned so much and grown a lot as a person during this time. Now, I felt both curious about something new and interested in “the other side”. In my new role at WFI, I become more involved in the entire flow, and it feels valuable to be able to influence a bit more, as well as having the opportunity to develop even outside of the pure financial area, Filippa continues.

–   You can immediately feel that there is a lot of enthusiasm and ambition here, which makes it feel safe that I can grow into my role over time and as I get to know the company. I have gotten a very positive first impression and am really looking forward to diving into all the processes, finding the right focus areas, and creating new structures for the work ahead!, Filippa concludes.

What is your first impression of WFI as a workplace?
-   My first impression is very positive, there is a lot of forward thinking and ambition here, which feels both exciting and inspiring.

What do you prefer to do in your free time?
-   I am a family-oriented person, so I enjoy spending time with my family and doing fun activities together, preferably with a lot of energy and speed.

How would you describe the working environment at WFI?
-   It is an open workplace with a great culture and nice colleagues. Even though everyone is in different phases of life, you can connect with each other in different ways.
